Since the beginning of 2025, the rivalry between Chris Jericho and Bandido over the ROH World Championship has intensified, captivating wrestling fans worldwide.
Their most recent clash took place on the February 22 episode of AEW Collision, where Jericho successfully defended his title against Bandido. But the feud became deeply personal shortly after, when Jericho attacked Bandido’s brother, Gravity, unmasking and humiliating him in front of their mother during the Revolution Zero Hour preshow.
This brutal act wasn’t just about domination—it was psychological warfare, and it struck a nerve with Bandido. The former ROH World Champion is now more focused than ever, determined to avenge his family and reclaim the title he once held. Their upcoming rematch for the ROH World Championship is reportedly just around the corner.
According to Wrestling Observer Radio, the showdown is likely to happen either at the Dynasty show or at Supercard of Honor on May 2 in Atlantic City. When it does, it will mark the third singles meeting between the two, following their previous encounters in September 2022 and February 2025—both of which ended in Jericho’s favor.
Bandido’s road to this point hasn’t been easy. After missing 18 months due to a serious wrist injury, he returned at Final Battle in December 2024 only to suffer a concussion shortly after. Despite the setbacks, he’s been dominant since returning and is now just one win away from becoming only the eighth wrestler in history to hold the ROH World Championship more than once.
The stakes are personal, the gold is on the line, and history is within reach. Jericho vs Bandido III is shaping up to be one of ROH’s most anticipated matches in recent memory.
